These grants make essential veterinary care more accessible for families and their pets.
Emergency Vet Care Grants
Paid directly to your veterinarian, these grants assist with select emergency treatments to help pets receive urgent care when it matters most.
Shelter & Rescue Emergency Vet Care Grants
For our partnered shelters and rescues, we provide emergency vet care funding paid directly to the treating veterinarian. This support helps organizations save animals in critical condition.
These grants help families, shelters, and rescues replace pet supplies lost or damaged due to fire or flooding. Our goal is to help rebuild quickly so pets remain safe and cared for.
Shelters & Rescues We Support
Every two years, Mon Valley Paws selects a group of **501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelters and rescues** through an application process. Once selected, we provide ongoing support to help them continue their lifesaving work.
How We Support Our Partnered Rescues
- A percentage of our annual fundraising is donated to each partnered organization
- Pet food and supplies are delivered directly to the rescues
- Their fundraising events are promoted on Mon Valley Paws’ social media
- Volunteers may assist with their largest annual fundraising event upon request
Our rescue partners are essential to the wellbeing of animals in the Mon Valley, and we are proud to stand beside them.

A 501c3, Non-Profit Humane Animal Rescue located in North Huntingdon, PA. Their mission is to rescue and rehabilitate the neglected, abandoned and unwanted animals in our area and to provide a safe and loving forever home. Animal cruelty is a crime against society and our vision is to cultivate a community free of these crimes by educating, empowering and encouraging people to report suspected animal abuse.
All But Furgotten is currently one of the only rescues in Westmoreland County responding to humane incidents. They currently have four volunteer Humane Officers who work towards the prevention of cruelty and suffering to animals. Humane Officers enforce animal cruelty and negligence laws, fighting and caring for those who are abandoned and neglected. They perform wellness checks and routine checks, educating pet owners, offering help, and seizing the animal when necessary. Whenever an animal is seized during an investigation, Humane Officers must go through the court process – which is not always in favor of the animals. Court trials typically last over a year, and animals are considered evidence until the trial is over. This leaves the rescue financially responsible for the humane case animals in their care for extensive periods of time. While court costs and long-term care for the animals can be financially devastating for the rescue, we will never stop fighting for them.
